Group Visits

We welcome  schools and other groups to Hadleigh Farm and Rare Breeds Centre

Thank you for your interest in visiting Hadleigh Farm. We hope that the experience will give your children inspiration and information about parts of the curriculum.

This information aims to provide support and practical ways of making a school visit to Hadleigh Farm an exciting, interactive and memorable experience where children can encounter the countryside first-hand.

 

Visiting Hadleigh Farm

We are able to cater for groups throughout the week. During the summer months we also offer Early Evening openings for groups such as Brownies, Cub Scouts, Girlguiding and Scouting groups. Subject to staff availability we are also able to cater for Birthday parties. Cost of a Visit

Cost per child £4.70

Teachers/carers and adult helpers are welcome free of charge for the ratio of supervisors to children.

As a general rule the ratio of supervisors to children should be:

1:1 for children under 1 year old

1:2 for children between 1 and 2 years old

1:3 for children between 2 and 3 years old

1:4 for children between 3 and 5 years old

1:6 for children between 5 and 7 years old

1:8 for those between 7 and 11  years old.

Any additional teachers or helpers will cost £4 per person.

We do sell animal food for the children to feed the animal as by law human food is not allow to be fed to farm livestock. Animal Food is 40p a bag or 3 bags for a £1.

 

On other days visits can be arranged but please note we would also be open to the public.

Please note that we do not charge for coaches parking on site. However there is an additional charge of £1 an hour or £5 for the whole day for cars to visit the site.

Directions to Hadleigh Farm

You will arrive into Hadleigh on the A13. Then follow the brown signs to Hadleigh Castle down Castle Lane.

Remember you will need to organise and pay for transport.
