Children's Farmer for a Day Experiences

Do you have a budding farmer at home? Are your little ones always asking questions about where their food comes from?

Our Children's Farmer for a Day Experience at The Salvation Army Rare Breeds Centre could be the ideal May half term activity to prize little eyes away from those screens and out into the open air! This inclusive and jam packed experience day will give children a real behind the scenes insight into the goings on of daily life at Hadleigh Farm. Children will be encouraged to prepare animal feed, tour the Rare Breeds Centre, feed the animals and collect eggs, carry out small animal health checks, socialise with the animals, train the breeds, take part in wool crafts and plenty more.

Morning sessions run from 9am - 11am and are perfect for children aged 5-7 and afternoon sessions run from 1pm - 5pm and are ideal for children aged 7-16. Both morning and afternoon sessions are running on Tuesday 28th and Thursday 30th May and are inclusive of all abilities.

The price for the morning session for children ages 5-7 are £20 per child with each additional child costing £17.50 and for the afternoon session for children ages 7-16 are £40 per child with each additional child costing £35. Please note, each child must be accompanied by an adult and all accompanying adults are free. For all those note participating, normal entry fees apply.
